Acceptable use policy

Everyone who uses this website or the Barometer feeds, and everyone who uses an API key. It is part of our terms of service.

• using the readings to mislead people, to manipulate a market, or in any scheme the law forbids;
• presenting the readings, or anything made from them, as advice, a recommendation or a promised return from Atheron;
• reselling or republishing the readings as a feed or dataset of your own without our written agreement;
• attacking, probing or overloading the website or the API, or trying to get around a limit, a key or a check;
• collecting the website's pages by automated means to rebuild the feeds instead of using the API;
• sharing a key with anyone outside your team, or using someone else's key;
• using Atheron Barometer where the law where you are forbids it, or for anyone under sanctions.

When you show a reading to others, name Atheron Barometer as its source, show when it was taken, and do not change its numbers. If you show sample data from this site, say that it is a sample.

Every key has limits on how many calls it may make. Stay inside them, and slow down when the API asks you to. Calls past a limit may be refused.

When these rules are broken we may warn you, slow your calls, revoke a key, or suspend or end your access, depending on how serious it is. We act at once, without warning, when the website, the API or other people are at risk. We report unlawful use to the authorities when the law requires it.

To report misuse of Atheron Barometer, or a security problem, write to security@aton-network.org. We do not act against good-faith security research that respects our customers' data and stays within these rules.
